Getting started with GrandExchange.com

Everything on GrandExchange.com in one page: a five-minute quick start if you just want prices and a flip, and the full power-user tour when you are ready to go deeper. No account is needed until you want alerts.

The five-minute quick start

1. Look up any item. Type a name into the search bar - "whip", "tbow", "nature rune". The item page shows live instant-buy and instant-sell prices, the after-tax flip margin, buy limit and alch values, updated every few minutes for OSRS and daily for RS3.
2. Read the chart. Green is what buyers pay, red is what sellers accept - the gap is the flip margin. The bars underneath are trade volume. Use the range buttons (1D to 1Y) and hover any point for exact prices.
3. Find something to flip. The Flip Finder ranks the whole market by estimated profit per hour, after tax, with a confidence score. New to flipping? Read the flipping guide first.
4. Make a free account when ready. It unlocks price alerts, watchlists, the portfolio tracker and the dashboard.
5. Take it to Discord. Add the bot for /price, /flip, charts in chat, and alerts delivered as DMs.

The power-user tour

• Flip Finder: sort by margin, ROI or volume; filter by budget, minimum ROI and members/F2P. The 0-100 confidence score blends liquidity, margin health and price freshness.
• Charts: candlestick (OHLC) mode, SMA/EMA/RSI indicators, persistent drawing tools when signed in, and a popout mini-chart.
• Market indices: ten sector indexes weighted by real GP turnover - check the sector before buying a dip on one item.
• Alerts: target-price and percent-move alerts by email, desktop push, Discord DM or Telegram, plus margin and volume-spike alert types and a dump radar in the Discord bot.
• Dashboard: watchlists charted as percent-change overlays, a portfolio with realized and unrealized P&L, and a paper-trading simulator against real price history.
• Movers and reports: gainers, losers, volume and spikes over 1h/24h/7d, and a market report for every game update showing how prices reacted.
• Money-making guides and calculators: five hundred plus wiki-sourced methods re-priced with live data, plus DPS, GE tax, flipping and skilling calculators.
